Every 2 months, DEMCARES hosts an ‘Understanding Dementia’ Session for newly diagnosed clients with dementia from our clinic. The session focusses on improving the caregiver’s basic knowledge about the illness and it’s progression to make informed decisions about their loved one’s care and their future. The sessions is usually conducted by Dr. Sridhar Vaitheswaran (MD, MRCPsychConsultant Psychiatrist &Coordinator of DEMCARES). The sessions also allow for caregivers to have a forum to ask questions about the illness to the team. Please check our events calendar for the next ‘Understanding Dementia’ session. Contact us if you want to be invited for future sessions.
